Delivery Now Available

Too hot to go out?  We will deliver your fresh garden vegetables and herbs right to you.  This Saturday we will try our new delivery service.  I will be sure to get a good picture of Lexi with her vegetable cart in tow.   We think it is too hot to stand out there for a few hours and we'd rather go on a bike ride.  Here are a few pictures of the garden this week.  We will update the blog on Saturday with pictures of her store a few weeks ago and delivering goods this week.   It is heating up here but the cool night time temperatures keep the garden pretty happy.

Lexi's store will finally be open for business this Saturday, (also her birthday).   With the cold spell this winter we had to wait a while until we had enough produce to sell.   I was hoping to sell the Brussels sprout stalks but most of the sprouts are still too small.   Here are a couple of pictures of the garden right now.

Hot Peppers!!

Most of our pepper plants are growing well and now that it is cooling down we are beginning to see some fruit.  The plants grow in the summer but they do not produce fruit while it is really hot.  We have habañeros, New Mex, Italian roasters, jalapeños, serranos,  and cayenne peppers all growing on the side of the house.   The plum tree is in the  back there.  It survived another summer but the peach tree we had did not.

Fall Garden on the Way

Mark and Lexi are busy getting the garden ready for planting.   The lower garden is full of sweet potatoes.  They took over the garden this summer.  We also have several stalks of corn with 6 ears forming.  I think we will get a dozen ears by the time we are done.

These will be ready this fall and will be for sale in the store.    The garden is doing well and we are gearing up for the summer.  We will open the store again in early fall.   We had a lot of fun doing the store this spring.  I hope everyone has a nice summer, check back with the blog periodically as we will update it every so often.
